A Sneaky Way Of Finding Out Who Is Calling You

Have you ever gotten so tired of not knowing who is calling your number that you wanted to change your outgoing voicemail message to something that would make the outside world leave you alone?

Perhaps that new message could go something like this: "I'm sorry. The number you have dialed is no longer in service. If you think you have reached this number in error, please consult your directory and dial again."

While the message might be tempting, it isn't going to help you find out whose number is showing up on your caller ID.

When Ignoring it isn't an Option

Sometimes you just don't recognize whose number is on your caller ID, but you realize that it may be someone you actually want to speak to. Perhaps it's someone you met at a party. Or, maybe, it's someone you handed a business card to and they want to hire you for a million dollar project.

You know that you can't just avoid every caller whose number you don't know.

The Voicemail of Reason

Assuming that your caller is using a cell phone, there is a sneaky service available for determining whose number is calling your phone. Spy Dialer provides a free cell phone search, with a twist.

Like other apps and websites that offer phone number lookup, you will just need to enter the number you want to identify. To use Spy Dialer, go to spy dialer's website. Enter the number of your mystery caller and click on the "Dial" icon.

You will be connected to the voicemail of the person who has been calling your number. The beauty of Spy Dialer is that it is anonymous. Their phone will not ring. Your call will not show up on their caller ID. You do not leave a message of their voicemail. So, why use Spy Dialer?

Spy Dialer allows you to hear the outgoing voicemail message and see if the person whose number you're searching gives clues about his/her identity. It is likely that the big clue will be using a name! You will hear, "You have reached (fill in the name here)," and your mind can start trying to figure out if you actually know the person. If it a business, you will learn that quickly and easily.

If you use an Android phone, you can pay for a Spy Dialer and download the Spy Dialer app. You will be able to bypass going to the website. Non-Android users can also pay for a subscription. Occasionally, the free service will show up as a "missed call". The paid service does not.

Spy Dialer advertises as being "sneaky but legal". Isn't that what we're really looking for when it comes to finding out who has been dialing our number?
